Description
This is the IP address of the switch on the local network. It is also the IP address of the administration web server and the serial gateways
Parameter : "Netmask"
Definition
Id | p_lan_ip_mask |
Type | IP subnet mask |
Label | Netmask |
Default value | Not available |
Description
The netmask defines the size of the IP network to which the switch is attached.
Parameter : "Default gateway"
Definition
Id | p_lan_ip_gateway |
Type | IP address |
Label | Default gateway |
Default value | Not available |
Description
This parameter defines a default gateway on the LAN. If a default gateway is defined on the WAN, the LAN one will be overwritten.
Parameter : "Automatic management of the remote users IP addresses"
Definition
Id | p_lan_pool_auto |
Type | Boolean |
Label | Automatic management of the remote users IP addresses |
Default value | Not available |
Description
This option enables the automatic IP assignment system.
This system choose an IP adress by numerical order on the LAN network, check if the adress is
already used with an ARP "Duplicate Address Detection" request and assign it to the remote device
Parameter : "IP address pool start"
Definition
Id | p_lan_ip_pstart |
Type | IP address |
Label | IP address pool start |
Default value | Not available |
Description
Start IP adress of the pool which will be assigned automatically to remote user’s PC when they will connect to the router (for instance 192.168.0.129).
Parameter : "Address pool end"
Definition
Id | p_lan_ip_pend |
Type | IP address |
Label | Address pool end |
Default value | Not available |
Description
End IP adress of the pool which will be assigned automatically to remote user’s PC when they will connect to the router (for instance 192.168.0.133).
In our example, an adress between 192.168.0.129 and 192.168.0.133 will be given to every connected remote user. In this example 5 remote users can be connected simultaneously on our Local Area Network (LAN).
